Levelling up my watercolour skills

Levelling up my watercolour skills - student project

I loved the class, the instructions, the mini-travel! o^__^o For now, I'm going through the exercises and try to just copy the illustrations. I feel I'm learning so much this way!

The squiggly lines and trees... I somehow didn't take a photo. Will do that in the near future.

Not super satisfied with the plants, but great exercise, anyway!

The berries... I first f**** up completely. ^^;

(I'll use this for s.th. else, already have s.th. in mind.)

Learning from my mistakes (and rewatching the video, taking notes):

Next, I did the bird on even wash thingy. Getting the dry brushing effect on the feathers right was challenging. Also, Doing an even wash around the masking fluid was... meh. The colour puddled around the areas. Ah well, it's still pretty OK. This totally put me in the mood of master studies from Japanese woodblock prints. :)

I'll update when I'm done with the other exercises.
