Being all too familiar with not-so-great vehicles I worked on the Lemon idiom. I explored several options. My favorite by far was the wrench squeezing the lemon. The squeezing reminded me of squeezing more life out of a car ready to retire and the wrench represented all the repairs needed. But when I showed it around people didn't really get it. So I moved on with the more obvious solution: the tire/lemon. I feel tempted to illustrate the first option too since the process was pretty enjoyable. Let me know what you think about the illustrations.

For texture I printed my final on an inkjet printer and used a mix of masking tape and sand paper to add imperfections to the print. I then rescaned and put back together in photoshop.
