Lefty Ligraphy

Made some holiday cards for the family and friends, nice to be able to give it a personal touch!

I recently had a baby and decided to write his name out, I think it turned out nicely!

I haven't updated my projects in a while, so I thought I'd show the latest. I'm the art director of Columbus Monthly Magazine, and for our desserts issue I decided to try out my calligraphy skills, and I think it worked out pretty well! Digitizing it was definitely a challenge, but I'm very happy with the final product!

I did the calligraphy for my magazine's dessert issue, takes forever to get the digital version looking good, but I'm really proud with how it turned out!

I love calligraphy! I'm new at this, so I've been spending a lot of time just doing the shapes. I'm a lefty so I'm having a really hard time with smearing when I write, has anyone got any suggestions for that? I'm starting the alphabet now, and the letter a is the hardest for me so far, plus doing the upstroke, my hand gets shaky, I'm not sure if I'm pressing to hard or not. It's been so much fun though, I'm really looking forward to getting good at this!
