Learning to love my watercolors (again)

I love working with watercolors.  I haven't touched mine in years.  I recently signed up for a year of Skillshare and thanks to several courses, I'm starting to get in touch with my artistic side.  I'm enjoying Olga's course.

I'm sure I could use this as a background for many different exercises.  I liked the freedom of just letting it "run".

This is the work from the 2nd project.   I could have used more water I think.  This is a very fun course.

I see this as a background for many different projects.  I'm still a little awkward at letting the colors mix themselves.

This was a lot of fun.  I will do it again with many more colors.

It's like a flower garden!

Cling wrap.   This is an exciting technique..so easy, but so much possibilities..

I think I see two fish...

Spattering...hmmm...I don't think I used enough pigment...but I like what happened.

Another flower garden waiting to happen..

Lifting pigment.  I llike using the dry brush.  I see blue skies and billowing clouds..

Very fun course...enjoying it a lot!

My first effort did not please me..I couldn't get my pigments to "run".  I had used Quins and they were somewhat dry..

My second effort, I used Cad Yellow and Aliz Crimson with quin violet.

Olga, I have thouroghly enjoyed the course.  I think it is a wonderful way to introduce (or re-acquaint) someone with watercolor paints.  It's fun to experiment and this was a great way to do it!  I'll watch for more of your courses.
