The levels and colours between the model and the background were very different. the model has a purplish hue to her that i struggled to balance out while maintaining her skin colour and trying to get her to fit in. Looking forward to learning how to do that better
Colour range selection
Channel masking - turning the channel into a selection then inverting
Not super convinced with this one. the edges of the tomato seem to be difficult for me to blend in with the background. put a colour balance and brightness/contrast layer on the tomato.
Content aware fill - spent waaaay too long trying to fix up the water in the foreground and not particularly happy with the outcome. tried allsorts of techniques utilising content-aware fill.
Channel mask and puppet warp tool. Pretty happy with the masking result here. I copied the masked selection and pasted it again to give myself something more dynamic to work with. This resulting in needing to have duplicates of both masks and duplicates of the text sandwiched between the two masked objects. (original image by Annie Sprat - found on unsplash)
