Lahore Traffic

I am very interested in the negotiation of space in urban areas. One thing that particularly interests me is the communication, navigating and sharing of a largely unregulated and chaotic system of traffic, especially in my home city of Lahore.

The first row of traffic at a signal are usually motorbikes, since they can squeeze their way to the front from inbetween larger vehicles.

Qinqui rickshaws are ever increasing since they are a cheaper way to travel and can fit more people than a regular rickshaw.

There is not solid infrastructure faciliating urban walking. Foot traffic is usually left to improvise.
