Lady Bird

Lady Bird - student project

This mini-collection was inspired by the local wildflowers that grow here in the TX hill country. They begin blooming in late March, and now it's mid-June and they are still blooming! It begins with the Bluebonnets, and every week or so a new species pops up. Eventually the old flowers die but they are replaced by something new. I'm fascinated by the variety and never get bored of looking at them in detail. I took these pictures with my iphone in my yard, neighbors yard, or on the side of the road. Then I traced over the photos directly in Adobe Illustrator (I have a touch screen laptop).
