We develop and implement creative and effective solutions for businesses experiencing rapid change (technology, growth, competition, market structure, deregulation, compliance).  Our practical, collaborative and empathetic approach recognizes that homemade solutions deliver better results faster and with more buy-in than more traditional approaches.

Module 2: Freelance vs Entrepreneur?

This project is about being a freelancer.  Just me, sharing my skills and knowledge to help businesses deal with things.  My passions are workign in turmoil and chaos and finding a way to win.  I've done it for a long time for other people.  Now I want to create some of my own chaos, take some risk and go out to find people who can benefit from my experience and assistance.

Once I get more experience with this there will be a cross-road to deal with.  Is there a way to scale this?  Something I can modularize?  Can I train people to do what I do?  Can I find other ways to monetize this?  Write about my experiences?  Talk about them?  Coach many as opposed to individual clients?  It's all part of the adventure to come.

I eliminated the "chaos" element and tried to provide more focused approach to target market.  Also tried to simplify the language to convey tone of "no-nonsense", pragmatism, etc.  Still a bit more tweaking before I am comfortable with it, but making progress.  Thanks for comments and encouragement so far.  Please keep it up.

FEB 5 UPDATE:

Module 3 - funding - will be a bootstrapping operation, including shift of the thought process.  Not just frugality, but also approaching from the point of view that you need to create somethint of value that will generate revenue that allows you to self-f fund the business.

Module 4 - Hiring - not relevant for this project but relevant for other projects currently on the go.  Excellent list of questions to be sure you can answer.  Key points:

Stop hiring yourself, outsource anything that can be spec'd

Keep jobs that require intuition, judgement, genius in-house

Hire people that are better than you at what you want them to do.

What is candidate's SuperPower?  If they can't answer that, then what makes them irreplaceable?
