Jille's Odd Bodies

Jille's Odd Bodies - student project

This class was so fun and really helped me get out of my usual very realistic way of drawing people. I'm used to working really fast and not taking the time to edit my work, so the iterative practices really helped me realize the value of that step (though I didn't do it with all the exercises. My first drawing was of a High Jumper. I like how she got chunkier the more I drew her.

I'm not an athlete and in hindsight,e I wish I had chosen a sport with less clothing, but I think these turned out kinda fun! Next, I'd like to color them!Jille's Odd Bodies - image 2 - student project

These little guys were hard because all I had was kitchen scissors and I wanted to make some guys that looked "cool," but they turned out looking a little like trump....oops.Jille's Odd Bodies - image 3 - student project

This was interesting and more fun than I thought it would be, another case for iteration because the first were so bad, but I like how the second ones turned out!

For the exaggeration project, I started with a pencil, but this guy just wasn't interesting. I didn't want to keep working on him, so I switched to a match and had way more fun!

Overall, a super fun class where I learned a ton that I will continue to use in my work. Let me know what you think!
