It's like Katamari for data

Most people in one way or another watch what they eat, right? But how many people pay attention to the information they take in on a daily basis?

Could you put your data on a diet?

Here's what I want to do:

I'd like to use a chrome browser extension to track a person's search history, and then use javascript to visualize the data in a cool way, where perhaps thumbnails of the sites visited would accumulate over time to create a ball just like in the CLASSIC videogame, Katamari Damacy.

As the person spends more time online and consumes more data, the ball itself becomes bigger and bigger. I initially wanted to do this with rails, but feel this would be more appropriate for javascript.

What do you think?? Questions/comments/concerns/consultations/kudos are greatly appreciated!

Thank you!
