So I started off this project will a simple drawing directly into Illustrator. A lot of the time I draw in a sketchbook but without the isometric grid I struggled to draw it. I created the grid then began to draw.
I didn't have any specific thing in mind when I started so it just began to develop through the class. A basic building with a dock that lead to a ship, I know it's not an item but I wanted to push myself.
After getting the basic design I began to draw the boxes that would then be filled with details and colours. I also added in the idea of clouds just for a bit of fun.
I decided to work on this a little by myself after I finished the class. I had a different take on what colours to use for the outlines as I went for a darker shade of the main colour. So the grass had a dark green outline and so on. I learned so much from this project, taking the basic SSR technique and applying it to a variety of different things.
Any and all feedback on this would be greatly appreciate. Thank you Hayden for my first every SkillShare lesson and i'll be sure to come back for more! :)
