I'm not sure if my previous pattern design experience with Illustrator was a hindrance or help here. In one sense, it's more intuitive than Illustrator (Illustrator is HUGE), but it also takes a TON of steps. The most problematic part for me is I feeling like I have to guess way more with this process so that I don't end up with odd illustration breaks and weird space issues.
Honestly, I'm still not quite happy with the pattern, but at least it's given me an idea to play with in Illustrator.

And these are the two colorways I ended up liking best. I had to stop myself after 15 minutes of playing with colors because, like Di, I knew I could be on my iPad all day!
