Internazionale Kit Development

This is my project looking at designing a kitset for F.C Internazionale, or Inter Milan as us English more commonly refer to them as. I've always been interested in designing kits for teams right around the world. I've always been eager to see the Internazionale kits each season, in my opinion, they usually combine tradition, Italian style and the Nike design ethos really effectively. My personal favourite is the recent 2011-2012 season home ans away shirts. Throughout this project I'd like to look deeper at a club that I'm interested in, and hopefully design a successful outcome.

F.C Internazionale is a Italian professional football club based in Milan, Lombardy. The club have won the Serie A title 18 times, and also winning the Coppa Italia 7 times. In the 2009-2010 season Inter won the Champions League for the first time since the 60's when they won back to back titles in 63-64 and 64-65. Since then, Inter have undergone a shift in management and the way they play. Selling off some of their best players that featured in that victorious 09-10 season; Wesley Sneijder, Samuel Eto'o and Mario Balotelli. They've heavily invested in young players for the future at the San Siro. Players like Mateo Kovacic, Joel Obi and Ibrahima Mbaye indicate this change in ways.

Inter have traditionally played in blue and black stripes shirts, normally with black shorts to accompany. The away shirt is normally white with a black and blue trim, however they've experimented with other colours such as yellow and most recently, red, the main colour of their rivals A.C Milan. The Inter kits have been manufactured by Nike since 1998, one of the longest running collaborations in football.
