I first did the practice where you do different techniques with the ink and watercolor on the same type of object. I found I preferred the starred images, they were my favorites. I used Reeve's watercolor and two types of ink- Liquitex and recollections shimmer mists. I also practiced using white Winsor and Newton Ink, which I fell in love with.
After that, I designed my final image, using the ink for outlining the face and splatters of color. The watercolors were used for the skin and hair. It is definitely more vibrant in person, the Holbein pink I used does not pick up much on camera or scan. Overall, I found this class fun for beginners in either watercolor or ink, has a lot of unique stylistic techniques to explore.
