Last year was my first full year in NYC after moving from the south. It's been difficult adjusting to life here; trying to make friends, disatisfaction in my employment, dealing with the madness of the place as a whole. As a result, I have lost sight of the health and fitness goals I had set for myself in college. I began to eat pizza by the slice far too often as a meal and found myself on the couch and not at the gym or active at all.
It's 2013, a new year, and I am ready to change things. It's time for me to kick lethargy out the door and out of my life.
Some goals for myself:
+ measure my caloric intake
+ lay off the carbs during the week
+ allow myself to "indulge in adult beverages" once a week
+ MORE GREENS -- incorporate more veggies in my diet on the daily
+ improve my BMI to 19.5 by May 1st, 2013
+ work my core at least twice a week - I'd like to feel some muscle on my stomach again
+ lose 8 lbs by March 8th, 2013 - spring break.
+ hit the gym for cardio at least 3 times a week
