Illustrating with Watercolors on Wood Sample Project

For the class project I created this illustration that will look perfect in a kid´s room. It will make a great Christmas present and it doesn´t take long to make!

Here´s a picture of my sketch and my finished painting. You can choose any subject you want.

I love seeing your projects, so remember to share them on the class gallery!

  • An unprimed artist wood panel (you can find them at craft stores)
  • Watercolor paints
  • Brushes (i´m using a number 10 and number 2)
  • Water, paper towels, and a palette
  • A black ballpoint pen
  • Magic tape (or any tape that won´t adhere too much to the wood or leave residues)
  • White acrylic paint
  • Opaque white ink (I´m using COPIC)
  • A pencil, paper and a white eraser.
