Illustrated Journaling

Illustrated Journaling - student project

Hi there!

My name is Sabine and I am looking forward to the coming days, to complete this course.

Particularly I like to use the prompts to practice drawing (preferably of objects) and to apply the journal look, especially with interesting handlettering elements.

First I thought about the colours i want to use for the topics. Then i choose the materials for the drawingstyle. I want to practice the pencil drawing, so i decided to pick some colorpencils too. At least I thought about what I want to learn and wrote it down.

#Day 1 // Currently Listening

I love this prompt! Currently I am listening to the debutalbum from Elvis Presley and it give me so much good vibrations. I prefer to listen to good music with my vinylrecorder - and yeah, i got this album in green vinyl. That is so awesome! :) I had to show it in this illustration. I also like to hear music with my earphones, especially when I go for a walk.

It was so much fun to draw the albumcover and play easily with the titles by using different fonts. :)

"Well, it's one for the money, two for the show .....three to get ready now go, cat, go....But don't you...step on my blue suede shoes..."

#Day 2 // Recently Learned

It was such fun to draw the Thomas Henry Ginger Ale Bottle. I like the design of it very much, so i was very happy to draw it for this lifehack. Cheers :)

#Day 4 // Latest Reading Material

For this prompt, I took my latest stack of books I read. I wanted to avoid it, to become too colorful, so I decided to take two colours from my colour chart.

#Day 5 // Ingredients to my mess

I tried to express the chaos that I struggle with in my everyday life. I am afraid there are many other things that could be pictured here. :D

#Day 6 // Daily Routine

I decided to interpret this prompt more specific and create a sheet about my daily morning routine. Since the beginning of the year I try to start in the day with a clear and structured procedure.

 #Day 7 // Current Cravings

What a fun to draw all the delicious goodies! For the chocolate-nut-cream i decided to add a brown in my colour chart. Because I thought it was necessary to get the tasty chocolat look.

 #Day 8 // I keep wearing

For this prompt i choose to pick just one item to draw. I always keep wearing my beloved red boots in the winterseason. To feel very comfortable and warm I also wear self-knitted socks from my adorable grandma.

 #Day 9 // Selfcare Necessities

My Selfcare Necessities are truly full of cliches - but so what, it works and I feel very relaxed by these little things. :)
