Day 1 - Currently Listening

Currently on my mind is Antonio Carlos Jobim's "A Felicidade" - Happiness. I find it hard to be happy during these times and I find much consolation in his music.Illustrated Journaling - image 1 - student project

Day 2 - Recently I learned

I recently discovered the origin of the word FONT. I love etymology, and it made me look up the etymology of the Hebrew word for font,  Gophan.

I used some letter stamps for today's page. I forgot how dodgy they were to handle.

Day 3 - Creating With

I am a creator. A maker. It took me a while to decide which of my areas to present, eventually I decided on bookbinding. Mostly, I think, because I really love my bookbinding tools.

For this page, I used Faber Castel watercolor pencils, instead of markers. They take the black pens well, and I used water to make some parts bolder.

Day 4 - Latest reading material

I love reading, and lately I've been having trouble. The COVID situation got me worried and sad, and mostly restless. I don't have the energy or the patience to read as much as I used to. And yet, here are the books currently occupying my mind, when I have the mind for it.

The top two books are in Hebrew, my mother tongue. The top one is a poetry book called Happy and Sad. The one under it is a collection of articles called The Cultural Network. All the articles are interconnected and fascinating.

Day 5 - Ingredients to my Mess

I'm a messy person. There's no way to put it in prettier words. Thing is, I don't mind as much as I used to. Everything is an inspiration, so how can I put everything away?

For today's page I took some stuff from my desk. It's a rather small desk and I use it for sewing and writing and playing DnD online with my friends, so of course there are tons of interesting things there.

Day 6 - Daily Routine

Sometimes routine can be tiring. Doing the same things every day, things that must get done, and if you don't do them, they simply won't get done. Taking the time to think quietly is definitely one of them.

Day 7 - Currently Craving

Everybody craves something sweet, but my real craving is having time alone. I haven't been really on my own since January, and it's really taking its toll on me.

Day 8 - I Keep Wearing

I didn't feel like drawing my tank tops. These pieces of jewelry are my go-to for feeling beautiful, and I keep wearing them, a lot.

Day 10 - Grocery Run

I'm so tired, I drop letters and forget to buy marzipan. The thing on the top right is dark chocolate.

Day 11 - Favorite corner

I love my kitchen. I made the decorative tiles myself. I might have to tear them off the wall if I ever decide to move.

Day 12 - Toiletry Bag Favorites

I miss wearing lipstick.

Day 13 - Reliable Recipe

Shakshouka is a very Israeli dish. It goes well with our temperament. Recommended: eat with a lot of bread!
