I like using vintage baking recipes and bought a vintage Betty Crocker book, which is one of the few actual books aboard the boat. A friend wrote a book of short stories which is great, Life: It’s just a phase. Also a Tom Robbins short story collection that I plan on dropping in a tiny library after finishing it. I love reading paper books, but live on a boat, and keeping them onboard isn’t practical.

Day 6 Daily Routine I live on a sailboat with my boyfriend and elderly pets, every day they get their meds, meals twice daily. Most days we go hike on an island taking the dog and usually the cat as well, sometimes the wind is too much to want to row in. We start out mornings with chai tea and a mocha made from the stovetop kettle. We cook 99.5% of our meals so that is a big part of our routine. Not daily, but normally we pick up anchor and move to a new spot at least every 3 days.

Day 7 cravings. Craving time, sweets, adventure, networking mutual aid.

Day 8, most worn. A pair of hemp sweatpants that always fall apart at 6 months old, but since I normally keep to myself on my boat, I just keep wearing them anyway. Waste not want not.

Day 9, Self Care, taking my hair out of its ponytail and brushing it, walking with my pet, hugs, crying, and naps.

Day 11, favorite corner, I just finished making cushions for my sailboats cockpit, it’s now my favorite sunny weather hang out. Not pictured are the tapestries we put up when we are anchored for some shade and bursts of color. Illustrated Journaling: 14 Days of Prompts - image 12 - student project
Day 12, Toiletry bag favorites. Mine is pretty sparse. Shower tokens, a nix menstrual cup, hair ties, tweezers, and a soap bar.
