If at the Wedding (at the Zoo)

If at the Wedding (at the Zoo) a short story by Lydia Davis

I picked up on the idea of the silhoutted chickens at the end of the story and did it with all the animals mentioned in the piece. And then I thought of weddings and people facing each other, so I did that with the animals, and I kind of liked the shapes that appeared in the negative space, which felt relevant to Lydia Davis. Simplicity that creates a sense of discomfort. That was what evolved. A first draft.

Any suggestions or thoughts most welcome. Thanks.
