If at first you don't succeed...

My biggest failure is falling into the trap that alcohol lays out for us. When it becomes a crutch to get us through the day and we can't make it a day without a drink in our hand. Many people would call this a sympton of bigger problems that need to be dealt with, but it is in fact a failure to handle life and the curve balls it throws at you.

I did learn from my failure though. I found that I was stronger than the bottle; that I could pull myself up from the trenches of life and stand with my head held high, because I shouldn't be ashamed of the mistakes I have made. They have made me who I am today. They have shaped me into the opened minded, forgiving, and understanding person I am. I no longer judge people just for the sake of judging because as the saying goes "Until you walk a mile in someones shoes" I better understand that life is not for throwing away or allowing "failures" to drag you down, but it is for living and learning from those mistakes, and becoming a better person because of them.

I know this is a prettty heavy failure to lay on the class but in order to learn from the failure we have to acknowldge it, accept and have no shame in it.
