Iconic Illustration - student project

It got pretty easier to do this by writing out the words. Then the sketching basic simpler shapes came about. I suddenly had two ideas I wanted to go with, a head without the top part or an eye visualizing something.

I went with the first one and made a finalized sketch of it. Basically this is what's in my head almost all the time. But I'm not much of a talker in real life, like a closed book. That's when I thought about the mouth being like a cash register when the receipt comes out. I went with the message "Stuck Inside my Head" because that's where my most creative thoughts are. Now I decided to "decapitate" the top of my head to symbolize that you have to open my head to know what I'm really thinking. I went with the words "fantasy" and "storytelling" because I fantasize a lot. Expressive, creativity, inspiration, and unexpected are extensions to my creative thoughts.
