I would go on choosing you

I would go on choosing you

1 // My Phrase

I selected "I would go on choosing you" from the poem "I Like You" by Sandol Stoddard Warburg. It carries a lot of personal meaning to me, as it was read at my wedding. The last stanza reads:

I can't remember when I didn't like you
It must have been lonesome then
Even if it was the 999th of July
Even if it was August
Even if it was way down at the bottom of November
I would go on choosing you
And you would go on choosing me
Over and over again
And that's how it would happen every time

The poem itself is funny, insightful, meaningful, sweet and sort of weird – just like my husband and I! As I read the phrase lots of imagery came up, especially when I thought of the word "go" and all the traveling my husband and I have done – and would love to do more of. I also thought of the act of marriage itself as a journey.

Below is my brainstorm and mood board.
