I am grateful for...

  1. I am grateful for my health.  I have a strong and healthy body that allows me to dance, run, workout and move and play every day. 

  2. I am grateful for my friends who support me when I am struggling in life.  They check on me and empathize with me. They are compassionate when I am not ready for something. They are accepting and appreciate me for who I am.

  3. I am grateful for my family.  My mom and my sister and all the aunts and cousins out there... grandma too.  They are a wonderful collection of personality, talent and beauty with lots of wisdom and love to give.

  4. I am grateful for my broken heart.  It is teaching me how deeply I love and give of myself.  It is showing me how alive and vulnerable I am. That I can use my art to focus my feelings in a productive way instead of saying hurtful things or acting out. It is teaching me to love myself again and be my own best friend, lover and family. 

  5. I am grateful for my spouse who has left me. She has taught me that silence is better than arguing sometimes and how words can be too much. She has shown me how to hug and hold each other even when we are hurting. She was my family for a short while as I grieved my father's death. She gave me the tightest hugs I ever had. She has shown me she is free and how to let go.
