I Only Knit Scarves

For some reason, I really enjoy knitting scarves.  When I learned to knit seven years ago, it was the first thing I ever did.  And while I've tried learning other things, scarves really resonate with me.  Maybe it's because I'm from the Midwest, where it gets really cold.  There is something about a chunky scarf that makes me feel all warm and cozy.

So, I've decided to make my hobby into a small business - "I Only Knit Scarves".  I know I may need to change it, but it's the truth.  Most other crafters knit several different products.  I will only focus on the one project I absolutely love doing.

In One Sentence: "I Only Knit Scarves" if a creative crafting business that creates different types of scarves using high quality yarn.

My friend Rachael, who is a budding fashion designer, inspired me to tap into my creativity.  I'm terrified to do this because I don't think my work is any good (despite reports of family members having the scarves I knitted for them stolen - I guess that's a good thing).  I live near two colleges, so I feel like this is as good a place as any to start out my project.

Main Issues pt. 1 (As seen by me)

1. There are a lot of people out there who make scarves - crafters and big box stores?  Why would mine work stand out?

2. I can make a beautiful scarf.  Is the quality of my work good enough to stand out?

3. Inventory issues.

4. Is a blog and a facebook page enough to get the word out?
