How to make an Illusion Necklace: The only obstacle is your imagination!

In this class, I'm going to teach both the beginner and advanced jewelry maker how to create a crystal or any other bead you chose illusion necklace.  This necklace will look stunning against  any solid color shirt or spring or summer top.  The crystals will catch the sunlight and make you sparkle.  This necklace can be made by a beginner or advanced jeweler however if you are a beginner, this is a perfect way to start.  The most important thing you will need to ceate this stunning necklace is your imagination.  The following supplies will be needed to make this project:

  • Monofilament Illusion Cord which can be purchased in any craft store.  You will need to cut 3 strands of 28" each.

  • Krazy Glue or special jewelry glue which you can also purchase in any craft or even Dollar store.
  •                                            f34f8d99
  • Crystals or other beads of your choice.  These will be placed randomly on each strand so the amount of crystals or beads you use is entirely up to you.  These can be purchased in any craft store.  Wal-Mart and Target also now sell jewelry suppies as well.
  •                                              84f498e5
  • A length of chain, the smaller the links the better depending on how far down you want your necklace to fall.  Crimp tubes, jump rings and a clasp of your choice. These can all be found in the findings section of the craft store. You will also need a pair of needlenose pliers.  Whether you chose to invest in jewelry tools or use your own pair of small pliers is up to you.  If you believe your going to want to continue making making jewelry then it's a good idea to invest in a good set of pliers. Or if it's possible, borrow them from a friend.

The end result will look similiar to this, minus the silver wire.  If you chose to use the silver wire that's fine to.  I look forward to seeing what you create in the gallery!
