How to be wise in and with purchases?

All of us do purchases on a daily basis. However, most of the time we don't buy either services or products from "being wise" perspective.

This course will help to see the purchasing process uniquely. It will help in choosing wisely thus help the purchaser (i.e student) in more than one way.

Once the course is completed, it is expected that new criteria will be added into students buying decision process.

Any buyer is eligible and encouraged to do this course. Would-be buyers are welcome.

CLASS PROJECT- Filling "BUY WISELY Template" and share to the community

The purpose of this class project is to make you aware of your own decision-making process during purchases. It is a simple, straightforward, four-step project class project.

When to do: Before starting the class so as you can compare your own notes post learning.

Step 1:

List the top five new purchases you have made in the last six months

Step 2:

Every purchase is either impulse or planned. Most of our purchases are either habitual or based on impulse. Large purchases where considerable money involved are always thought out and planned. Across each purchase, list all the considered criteria before finalising the decision. Among the criteria, list the criteria that tilted towards your favoured choice.Did not some new criteria added up during the final stages, or you have weighed differently.

For this exercise, across each purchase, list all the reasons that seed the buying intention, considered criteria before finalising the decision. Among the criteria, list the criteria that tilted towards your favoured choice.Did not some new criteria added up during the final stages? You might have weighed some factors differently.

Step 3

Post purchase, across each purchase, list your thoughts and feelings for each purchase. Are you happy? Are you using or enjoying that purchase? Given the gained knowledge and experience would not you choose differently? Reflect on these lines.

Step 4

Write a learning log for your use. Share the same as your project. If you are not comfortable with any private purchases, please delete those. Share what you feel comfortable.
