How I turned my own name into a logotype

Hi Everyone,

I am sharing the process and steps for this Class as a project as well.

I have been playing around the ideas, concepts by sketching out thumbnail concepts and character style for my name. Here is what I came up with for the beginning:

a442b006

440c93f0

I was using 2B Pencil and fine liner.

After getting the idea clearly and slept on it, I made this drawing for the final concept:

9d0f58ce

I filled the drawing out with a fine marker.

I took this image with my phone and sent it to myself in an email wishing "good luck, man!" to myself

I always leave a positive message when I email myself. I mean I only email myself when I send images from my phone to the computer. It's my superstitious thing...

So I saved the image and opened it up in Adobe Illustrator to trace and vectorize.

Took a while to tweak but practice makes perfect, you know...

Then I have published it on my social media

instagram

facebook

and twitter

This was fun and came out pretty cool!

Godspeed you all!
