House Plant Photoshoot

House Plant Photoshoot - student project

During Covid stay at home I decided to add more plants to my home so this class hit the mark! I was tired of succulents and wanted to go more tropical.

Mini Monstera (Rhaphidophora Tetrasperma)

I trained it to grow up a stalk. Mine is now about 4 foot tall now!

Rubber Plant (Peperomia Obtusifolio - i think)

This guy was so tiny when I bought him and he just keeps growing up straight as an arrow. Love the waxy leaves!

Chinese Coin Plant (Pilea Peperomioides)

Bought 2 of these plants from a girl on Facebook Marketplace. They showed up in great shape! Mine is doing ok, but the one I gave to my daughter is doing even better. Apparently these plants like neglect and dark rooms. Who knew?

Also, this was shot on a DIY backdrop I made after watching Tabitha’s DIY backdrop class :)

Painter’s Pallete (Anthurium Andraeanum)

I wanted one of these to harvest the flowers for photos after I saw them in  product photos. I thought they’d be hard to grow but this guy is doing well with almost no care.

Weed (Cannabis Sativa)

I don’t smoke but I always wanted to grow a pot plant. After years of talking about it my kids finally bought me a seedling and I’ve been growing it for about 16 weeks now. It’s in the flowering stage and it’s sticky and smelly!

This is my self portrait with some of my plants. Coincidentally I took this about 4 weeks ago for something fun to do.

Thanks Tabitha for another fun class!
