Homemade Grape Juice

Homemade Grape Juice - student project

I have a backyard full of Concord grapes this time of year. I leave many for the birds and other critters, but I take my fair share and can Homemade Grape Juice. It's so easy and tastes so much better than store bought. I use 1/4 cup of sugar for each quart jar, but you can increase/decrease depending upon how sweet you like your juice.

This is the first illustrated food recipe I've done, and I'm excited to do more - it was so much fun! I think it's interesting that the final color of the juice is so different from the color of the grapes.

After drawing and arranging the different motifs, I made some initial notes on what I thought I might do with the background color(s) and which motifs to paint.
