Winter Days is my entry for the Holliday Challenge. Winter days are fast approaching.

My collection is called Summers Promise.
It has been a long, hard winter on the east coast of Canada. The snow flurries were still falling in the middle of April. As I write this on the 15th of May the buds on the trees are just starting to emerge and it has been predicted that all growth will be a month late. Spring flowers are just blooming and it is hard to predict what has survived the winter and what summer will bring.
While waiting to see what summer holds for my garden I was inspired to create a world full of flowers and with plenty of summer blooms in the form of surface pattern designs. In this world the flowers are never ending, full of bright colours, vast and bountiful; dancing in the sun, singing out to the bees, helping us to remember childhood summers in our Grandmothers garden. Best of all no weeding!
Here is hoping that summer promises the same bounty for my garden.

Thank you Bonnie for a great class and fantastic contest. I've learned so much taking both your classes and hope you will continue to teach and inspire us.
