Project Explanation and inspiration:

I live in a suburb of Las Vegas, Nevada called Henderson. There is an older part of town that people semi-joking/semi-disparagingly call "Hendertucky."

I've been thinking about making a t-shirt design that would combine the name, hillbilly/rustic and Vegas elements. Larger image link:

My first bunch of sketches. The hillbilly on the right has the quintessential Elvis sunglasses. (Of course Elvis was a hillbilly).  I'm thinking of doing the wood/board text with bulbs, to get a Hillbilly/Vegas mashup.
