Helping a local auto repair shop while I work on building my brand.
I am learning how to become an effective Social Media Marketer. I have some professional experience working at an online marketing agency where I have learned about SEO, website building, and social media marketing for 2 years before I was laid off. I am now trying to hone my craft in SocialMedia Marketing and build my brand in order to offer my services to small local businesses.
I was recently hired by a local auto repair shop to help them post on a few different social media platforms for a small monthly fee. I can't afford to quit my job at this time and they can't afford to hire me full-time, so we came up with an agreement that they would supply me with content, photos, etc and I would create the posts and load them up in Buffer and schedule when to publish the posts. But the challenge with the owners is they are not providing me with hardly any content, so the majority of the time, I will create some posts with what I can come up with. Below is a post I created to help them reach out to customers during the COVID19 pandemic.
This course has been great and I plan to keep working to hone my skills and to help drive more traffic to this repair shop. In the meantime, I'm also working on a strategy for branding and marketing myself as an individual and hopefully, I can gain more clients in the process.
