Hi everyone, here is my collection- it’s all about spring, wildflowers and joy!
INSPIRATION
I really wanted to make a collection around wildflowers as I love them. The theme then came naturally with spring and my daily bouquet of wildflowers!
Wildflowers are lovely flowers that are loaded with childhood memories. They make you think of the handful of flowers that your children give you and a (near) daily basis, or that you picked up when you were little.
They bring back memories about those carefree days filled with games, strolls in the fields, and the making of daisy chains, dandelion fairies that we blow off in the wind while making a wish, and buttercups that we hold under our chins while asking each other “Do you like butter?”.
MOOD BOARD
I went out to take photos of my local wildflowers and made a search for the less common ones like poppies or buttercups (not a good year this year for the buttercups!).

MOTIFS
I did a few sketches on a pad but drew most of my flowers with the blub brush tool directly on top of my photos with the Wacom tablet, or I just drew the most stylized flowers (retro flowers, he loves me,..) directly in illustrator.

COLOUR PALETTE
The colour palette came very naturally as I lifted most of my colours from my wildflowers photos. I then added a very soft cream colour to complement the shades of green, yellow and purple.
PATTERNS
For you mum!
For this pattern, I used different sorts of common flowers that can be found in fields and grasslands around the neighbourhood. I always get given a bouquet from my children!
Make a wish
I really like dandelions and the graceful flight of the seeds when springs comes. The children love to pick and blow on them every time we cross one. I tell them to make a wish when blowing the little fairies!
Retro flowers
Directly inspired from the cute little flowers that my niece brought me the other day and “saved” in a glass! See the photo with the kitchen tablecloth that looks very retro. I thought it would fit nicely in the collection.
Daisy chains
One of my favourite flowers when I was little and which I can still spot quite a lot in the park these days!
Do you like butter?
I’ve played this game (when you place a buttercup under the chin) a hundred time when little!
He loves me...
Who hasn’t played that game with daisies?
And all together...
