I spend many hours drawing, sketching and digitizing my project. And in the end I'm really happy with the final result.
First I sketched my name very often on paper and tracing paper. I found out that I can work the best with a mechanical pencil (mine is the Mono Graph from Tombow), but I made a lot of sketches with all kinds of normal pencils.
After the decision which sketch I will digitize, I colored the pencil drawing with a Picma Micron Pen because I had to take a picture of the sketch to get it into Adobe Illustrator.
The next picture shows the digitizing process, which took some time. I found out much new information about the best extreme points and how to work at every letter separate.
This is the final digital lettering result before adding some shadow, pattern and gradient.
