Handlettering With a Hispanic Touch

I took a few liberties on this project! I opted to choose my own two words to write as I needed them for a school project. I started out with highlights on the letters but I accidently colored over a few too many of them so I gave up and colored them all in. When it came time to add embellishments,I decided to try to keep with the hispanic theme and add color. I really enjoyed experimenting for the first time with lettering and word art. Drawing the guide lines really made writing the letters quite easy, and now I know to make my caligraphy lines thin on the upstrokes and thicker on the downstrokes.

I really enjoyed my evening participating in the skillshare class! I'm definitely going to keep practicing and experimenting with this form of lettering. Thank you Ms. Peever!
