Really excited to do this each day (but also forgiving myself if I don't have time one day and have to double up or something!) Such wonderful prompts!
Day 1 - Currently Listening
I chose the new climate change podcast, "How to Save a Planet," with some tidbits from each of it's episodes so far taken out :)
Day 2 - Recently I Learned
This one is super chaotic (that creepy penguin *cries*) because I didn't have a great concept (plus it's hard to illustrate a hole in an invisible layer, lol) but I like that it'll help me remember this info about this!
Day 3 - Creating with...
Loved getting to try to use two colors (went with blue and orange) to paint my creative tools of choice (especially my camera and laptop since those are my main tools!!) - kind of wish I had filled more space, but couldn't think of more items so EMBRACING THE WHITE SPACE! Haha :)
Day 4 - Current Reading List
I have a bad habit of starting books... and not making the time to finish reading them, but all of these are great. Two are podcasts (Planet Money is the one where I got a little scribble crazy) and another one of these titles is an award-winning series of news articles about how polluters avoid any true accountability in Louisiana.
Day 5 - Ingredients to my Mess
Other than my questionable laundry basket, I loved this one! I'm definitely quite messy and illustrating part of my mess inspired me to tidy up some others, haha. Great prompt for more reasons than one. Also dig this color scheme.
Day 6 - Weekly Routine (most of the time)
Not sure about how I feel about how I used the colors I chose this time, but that's to be expected since I tried to use two colors I don't typically use. My daily routine is a little dull so I decided to highlight pieces of most of my weeks that I don't necessarily do every day! Enjoyed Dylan's grid layout!
Day 7 - Halfway doneee! I haven't had access to a bathtub for a couple years now and I greatlyyyy miss reading books while taking a bubble bath. I know some people think baths are gross but I loveee them! Used some white gouache for the bubbles! I enjoyed keeping this one minimal and simple.
Day 8 - NO BRAS EVER! First time I think I've used yellow and purple together and I love it! This is really helping me explore my watercolor set and figure out what color combos I'm drawn to! I also love those jean shorts IRL and love em on the page, haha.
Day 9 - Self care <3 Enjoyed the car doodle and just continuing to not beat myself up about not getting my lettering perfect. Such wonderful practice!
Day 10 - Went with illustrating some of my favorite snacks because to be honest, I avoid grocery shopping and haven't been consistent - yikes, lol.
Day 11 - It's more of a favorite wall than a favorite corner, but I love this side of my bedroom!
Day 12 - Was supposed to favorite toiletries but I decided to just doodle this quote from one of the books in my Latest Reading Material (All We Can Save) to practice some lettering styles
Day 13 - My go to recipe is a delicious mushroom risotto! I forgot to add the turmeric powder that gives it this bright yellow that I love. Highly recommend as a main or side dish <3
