Go, Brain. Go!

I started with some pencil sketches for the elements I wanted in the poster.

My inspiration came from P.D. Eastman's Go, Dog. Go! I wanted to reference the original book cover in layout and bold color without replicating it exactly, so I went with a primary color scheme instead of the secondary colors originally used. I ended up hand-pulling my posters, too. This was the first time I designed a four-color print that used complex halftones and texture. The final result is a 16x20 poster that I'm super pumped about:
