Getting Creative

Day 1
Getting Creative - image 1 - student project

Definitely an amateur here, I'm middle-aged and just started learning about drawing.  I wanted to be brave and upload my first drawing though.  My mom has Alzheimer's and one of the tests is the Alzheimer's clock, this shows the sad journey of decline with this disease.

Day 2 - Cloudwatching

I struggle with being too literal.

Day 3- Slow Getting Creative - image 3 - student project

Day 5 - Metamorphosis

Getting Creative - image 5 - student projectI liked my concept of crafters taking raw material to make usable items, I didn't know quite how to execute it, but it was fun.

Day 6 Metamorphosis 2

Being human we are change, our roots to our past, our family tree, language, external input, to our own minds.  It is all constantly changing.

Day 7 - Crowd of Creatures

Getting Creative - image 7 - student project So I'm a bit behind and I found this one hard to come up with an idea.  However while at work I thought, our fishbowls seem to be a lot smaller these days so here is life in a my fishbowl...I'm the startled one in the bottom corner.

 Day 8 - Colour

My day of colour included many walks and taking care of my plants, there are so many types of plants and trees.  I was also visited by so many neighborhood birds as well.  I'm not terribly pleased with this, but I tried out all my greens which was fun and tried a different technique for birds.

Day 9 - Flatten it Out

A quick "flat" sketch of my constant companions!  I believe most of my drawings would be considered flat as  I have not learned enough techniques yet.

Day 10 - Threads

I had a hard time thinking of something to do with this, then I thought about my hair. It is thick, curly, grey and longer than ever before and I'm loving it, well most days!

Day 11 - Transform Me
Getting Creative - image 11 - student projectI used my colours & more colours picture, that I wasn't very pleased with and added some brambles and sky.  It reminds me that you have look past some of life challenges to find beauty.
