I always do my digital illustrations in photoshop (oh, the irony!) I like the effect of having an outline, but I thought I should try this. Couldn't be happier with the result. 

I used a photo of my friend that was originally in black and white. This helped me to have an unbiased approach to selecting colours for the final piece.
