GRUB bootloader fix after installing/deleting Linux

If you are missing the option to boot back into your primary operating system after installing Linux, here is the quick fix.

Boot into Linux, open terminal, and enter the command sudo update-grub

Restart your computer and you should be able to boot into Windows.

If you choose to delete the Linux partitions, here is how you correct the master boot record.

Boot back into Linux using your live USB or disc and select Try Ubuntu without installing.

Open terminal and enter sudo apt-get install lilo ignore the warning by pressing enter.

Finally, enter sudo lilo -M /dev/sda mbr

Restart and you should automatically boot back into Windows.
