Research.

(Forgive me if this is horribly written, I'm writing this at 5am) For my poster I will be doing a concert poster for Fun. I live around dallas and will be going to see them, but Gexa Energy Pavillion isn't the best name, so for this poster I'll be doing the Denver date at Red Rocks Pavilion. I am really excited about this poster, but recently got an email from DKNG where they did a Fun. poster which was amazing, but a bummer because the whole Ice cream concept they did was origianlly what I was leaning towards. 

I know that the band is very proud of thier live show and they put a lot of work into that, so I am going to try to focus on that aspect.

First Thumbnail Sketches.

These were just some quick thumbnails I did. 

So far I'm liking the mic/ice cream one or the stage light beaming out Fun. I'll definitely be doing more sketches before for sure deciding on a concept though.

I'm a big fan of pretty simple posters like those of Jason Munn. Also Aesthetic Apparatus and Modern Dog.
