Fruit and Botanicals

Fruit and Botanicals - student project

And finally, my kiwis and fern.  I think the oranges were my favorite.

Thanks again for the class!

Here are my cherries.  I don’t own white watercolor but found that watered down Quin Rose and Goethite make a nice muted pink:

Here is my attempt at the oranges.  I know you said choose your own citrus but I was already excited about the oranges.  Thanks again Cat!

I decided to try this again.  I took Cat’s tip and went a little smaller (6x8 instead of 9x12) and I used Bee 100% cotton paper.  I like this one better Than the first one (below).  I tried to use a colored pencil to sign it but messed it up.

Of course I tried to attempt this when it is 150 degrees outside and the air is super dry.  Lol.  I had some issues with the paint drying too fast and I definitely need to work on my brush control but it was a fun first attempt with my new tube watercolors.  They work a little differently than my pans.  May take a little getting used to and I also need to stop using this cheap paper (Canson XL - I am not a fan).  Thank you for the class!
