From Teacher to Digital Media Professional

As a Teach For America corps member, Rachel Warzala has seen gains in student learning and collaborated to create foundational school structures like data analysis and rigorous curricula.

A graduate of Dickinson College, Rachel studied English and Political Science, focusing on race, gender, and representation. This culminated in her 50-page thesis on mixed-race identity in Alice Walker’s The Color Purple, for which she received honors.

Rachel is still an avid learner, seeking engagement outside formal academic settings. She infuses her critical eye and analysis into her personal blogging, which combines her passions for digital media and intellectual curiosity.

Following her teaching commitment, Rachel is seeking an entry-level position in digital media and composition.
