Freeing up mind space and building good habits.

Part 1 (Projects)

I started this Skillshare class one week ago. I currently work around 12 hours a day and am a little worried that I'm going to burn out. I often feel like I'm chasing my tail. I'm hoping this class will help me untangle myself from the pretzel I've become.

Goals thus far:

  • Clean out my email box
  • Close my loops
  • Get a better handle on what's possible in a day (time management)

So, I finished the course and I've been using Things as well as Evernote. I've even organized my Dropbox in the same format, as well as my email. Creating a unified system across all my devices as well as my applications has been a great help. 

It's been one month. 

It's hard to do the daily's. Those have been stacking up. I haven't figured out how to just build them into a serious habit. I'm wondering if the next course which is to design your own habit might be helpful for that :)

I also have found that my projects list feels a little overwhelming. Here's what they look like in Evernote:

As you can see, I've got the Daily Check list as a repeating event... 

I'm hopeful though. I'm going to review the class and start from there. Here we go again!
