Fort Worth, caught between history and modernism

Fort Worth is desperately trying to hold on to it's history (not sure if this is for tourism or identity). A lot of the buildings they are trying to save or hold on to have been degrading, it reminds me of something out of hoarders. However, the city is growing quickly and modern architecture is popping up all over the city. It's like we're caught in this confused stage right now.

This is a photo of an old meat processing plant, it's become home to vagrants but also has some amazing art painted throughout.
