For What It's Worth

This photo was taken in a hotel lobby in Downtown Atlanta on the 4th of July weekend. The elevators reminded me of Bioshock or the Great Gatsby for some reason. I wanted to capture the beauty and downfalls of luxurious living, so I decided to keep the exposure very low to bring out the elevator lighting. I experimented with blues and purples to bring out the textures in the roof and compliment the warm tones of the lights. I really wanted this photo to feel a bit gloomy, so I used heavy contrasts and low lighting to exagerate the lines of the sculture and the window, then lowered the saturation to give everything a  more dated finish.
