Follow the lines

It was a great experience to notice that you can still draw awesome things without knowing beforehand where it's gonna go. I started out with a few lines and then started filling them in with my usual drawing style.

This was my first attempt:

I discovered that the lines were a great starting point to begin drawing and immediately concour the blank page.

I was so happy with the result that I tried another one, with more lines:

This process goes so quickly, I was really stunned. And the thing I guess I like the most is the fact that you stop thinking and just start drawing. With the lines as your guide, taking you to another world. It's great to see that even with this thechnique, my personal style still shows, but feels fuller, because normally I draw very precise and with fine lines and a lot of details.

The last one is kind of funny. In my opinion, there are a lot of remakes of Little Red Ridinghood. When I see one, I always say: "No way, I'm never gonna do that, there are way too many of them already." Guess where the lines lead me to:

Crazy, right? (I was so excited, I forgot to take a picture of the starting lines). So now I have my Little Red Riding Hood of my own :-).

It's kind of hard for me to draw without music... So these were all made with the radio on.
