Flying Through Repeat Patterns Using Symbols

Flying Through Repeat Patterns Using Symbols - student project

I enjoyed this class so much Katia. Thank you!

I had been diving deep into using symbols to create patterns already when this class was published.

If you want to be able to create seamless pattern collections you need to understand how to utilize symbols in your work to create seamless patterns with speed and ease. Using symbols to create repeat background in Illustrator will speed up your work flow by at least 10 fold. I am showing 8 patterns but there were actually more than 20 patterns created in this set. I loved that Katia gave a document full of artboards ready to use. I created my own because I wanted the practice but I did like being able to see the structure of Katia's.

I paid a nice sum for a different course from another designer to learn how to create patterns using symbols. This class is at least that good if not better. This class is fantastic. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to create repeat pattern collections without pulling their hair out!

Here are 8 patterns created using Symbols.
