Fliink - the quick starting guide for action sports

How Fliink.com works:

Fliink.com is developing a quick starting guide for action sports to help sports-mad people get easlly access to new kind of sports with all the information, guidance an motivation they need.
Therefore the combination of trainers, sports venues and retailers are crucial for the user experience.

______________________________________________________________________________

1. List all major “players” in the system (eg. a marketplace may have two major players: buyers & sellers)

  • A: Mass market: Standard User -  want to become more active, looking for an easy entry into a certain kind of sports to gather experiences, get/stay fit and healthy, try out new sports
+ male and female
+ sporty person
+ interested in one of the provided action sports
+ age 16-45
+ ambitious, motivated
+ workers, academics, students, pupils, part-time workers, at-home-moms/dads, couples, groups of friends

(TRAFFIC comes from this group. They need group B, C for a sophisticated user experience.)

  • B: Niche market: Trainers - already sporty, want to explore different kind of sports, teach & advise and share their passions
+ male and female
+ age 21-35
+ well educated, skilled and qualified
+ students or full-time employees with sports priorities
+ healthy, sporty, active and passionate

(REVENUES come from this group. They need group A for a sophisticated user experience.)

  • C: Sports Retailers, Sports Venues,...
+ sports retailers, wholesaler
+ sports venues
+ event organizers
+ sports organizers, promoter

(REVENUES come from this group. They need group A for a reasonable partnership.)

2. List out any selfish reasons why each player would need their contacts/friends to join the service

A: Standard User:
to earn Fliink points (so they can eyxtend their premium membership), to challenge others (friends, buddies,...) and make a name for oneself, to save money (by inviting friends it is cheaper for the user to hire a trainer), to make common sports experiences, show out how much sports they are doing and how skilled they are,

(#4) People want to show their experiences to their friends, show them how skilled they are in any kind of sports, share cool pictures and videos while doing sports, they want to be first-movers for new sport trends, they want to motivate others to join them to do sports

B: Trainers:
make use of other trainers network so they can get new customers and try out new sports on their own = to earn more money

(#4) They want to follow their passions (certain kind of sports) and show others their achievements, motivate people to start new sports and they also want to make money while pursuing their passions

C: Sports Retailers, Sports Venues:
get more paying customers on their websites, spread out the word about their goods and services = to earn more money

(#4) simple cause of the money - the more people join the platform, the more users will be leaded to the partners websites and generate money for them

______________________________________________________________________________

3. List out all things you could possibly charge each player for on the service

A: Standard User:
premium fee (member fee)

(#4) users know they get huge benefits as members like cheaper equipment rentals, cheaper venue entry fees, better conditions, preferred statuses, etc.

B: Trainers:
revenue commissions

(#4) we offer trainers the platform to earn money with their passions, so a fee is appropriated (like airbnb)

C: Sports Retailers, Sports Venues:

commissions, CPC, listing fees

(#4) we are sending high targeted users to partner websites; this means the marketing costs for the partners are our revenues

______________________________________________________________________________

4. For 2 and 3 above give a very short reason you think the player would be motivated to need their contact or pay for the service (#4)

______________________________________________________________________________

5. a. List the channels (email, facebook, text message, etc.) that you will send your users’ invites through and b. how you will get that contact data

a.
E-Mail
Facebook

By inviting friends, users can earn points to gather free premium membership (monthwise) - like the Dropbox system with additional storage space. When they invite friends to join a trainer session it get's cheaper for each single user. And so we shall get the data through...

b.
mail provider's API (gmail, AOL, Yahoo,...) and Facebook Connect

6. Create what those invites will look like
